+28,000% Engagement with Pinterest?
Social may be the way forward!
Hi folks,
I wanted to ask you in this Google wasteland (for most!), if you are trying Pinterest at all?
Or maybe Facebook is working for you?
Pinterest is not a platform that has ever interested me, neither as an end user or marketer. As a user, any time I landed on a Pinterest result in search or elsewhere, I’d get a big old ugly pop-up, desparate to get me to sign in or sign up.
NO!
But in this new landscape (hmm), a few months back, I set up a Pinterest account for my newest content site. I also hired a top agency to manage and grow the account for me, and happily I hired them at a very competitive rate.
This is site is in a VERY visual niche so it made total sense to give it a go. Pinterest Trends also showed search interested was in the 60s and 70s as well!
It’s also been ridiculously simple to start. I just created a stack of articles using Koala and their custom images feature to create some awesome content.
Of course, no matter whether you are a new or existing Koala user, save 15% on ALL Koala orders using my coupon code ANTON
How are my Pinterest stats?
Let’s get to the results!
For weeks and weeks on end, I was looking at my stats which struggled at 20, 30, 50, 60 impressions - before FINALLY hitting the 100 impressions mark.
Now, that’s all good as one thing about Pinterest is that it takes time. Just like SEO, when err, you could do SEO for content sites (and it would work).
So I wasn’t expecting it to take off like a rocket from the start, but knew that it should do around the three month mark…
And I’ll leave it to you to decide if Pinterest has delivered on its promise….

So, yeah. It’s driving a tonne of impressions, a nice level of engagement, and clicks to my site are up from like a trickle over 30 days to a solid click per day on average over the past 30 days, which is now 6 clicks in the past 24 hours. And it’s still VERY early days!
I’m excited to see where this goes. I know a fellow content creator who is getting 60,000 CLICKS per day to their website. That’s CLICKS!
Talk about replacing Google as a main traffic source.
Google who?
If you are wondering what to try next or you haven’t yet given Pinterest a spin, I hope the above inspires you a bit and gives you some hope!
I’d also love to hear - are you seeing success with the platform?
Got any Pinterest growth gems or nuggets to share with me?
Please do!
I hope you are looking forward to Christmas or a festive break.
Next up…
My next email will be on how I’m taking my most successful lead gen site and turning it into a local directory!
Directories appear to be “hot right now”, and I have a whole new vision for this site in directory format!
I’m also going to be uber-structured with my approach to pivoting this site.
